Hey howdy hey, my lovely friends and family! Thanks for all of the wonderful birthday wishes. It makes me happy to know that I haven't been entirely forgotten up there in the other half of the world. :) For the first time in my life I'm celebrating a SUMMER BIRTHDAY! How crazy is that? Sadly, I can't have any crazy pool parties or anything like that. But it's all good. Doing the Lord's work is always really satisfying too.
Let's see. Last PDay was really fun and really sad all at the same time. We started out having our tranfers meeting where the zone was officially divided, and I lost a bunch of my favorite gringo Elders. But then we went and had lots of fun playing with water balloons and attacking each other with buckets of water outside of the chapel. We also got to go eat some jungle food with a sister from the Stake. So that was real good! Maybe some of that jungle food wouldn't have been so bad.
It's been interesting having our meetings as a zone now. We're tiny. I think there are 14 of us. But we have some really great goals and I think we'll have a really great transfer. One of our zone leaders is ex-asistent to President, and that's awesome. I'm learning a lot from him. And they treat the Hermanas real good.
Let's see... We have a really awesome investigator right now named Jorge. He's the cousin of one of the members of our ward. He's actually progressing (HALLELUJAH!) and he's super cool! He goes to the ward activites and home evenings with us every week, and I think he'll be baptized soonish. Pray for him!
We're really worried about another family that we've been teaching. We were planning on helping them get married, but they are struggling through some really dark things right now. Pray for them too pretty please...
I love you all. I would give just about anything to be able to celebrate with you all today! From what I understand we are going to go make us some tacos and celebrate with cake and such as a zone. Then we have two home evenings with the ward too, which are always lots of fun.
Cuidase mucho! Besos y abrazos.
