This week was a little crazy, thinking back on it. My compi went to immigrations for like 13 hours on Wednesday. We had several blitz activities as a zone where allll of the missionaries go to one area and find new investigators, we got two more baptismals dates for the next week. No wonder we're tired.
We had a cool ward activity this week that I rather enjoyed. It was called, "Te canto un cuento," or I sing you a story. Our cool friend Oscar and his wife are part of a professional story telling crew, and they invited a few of their friends and their teacher to tell stories. I think my favorite was the teacher, whose artist name is Wayki (it means friend in Quechua) and he is really cool. He travels the world telling stories. Is that fancy or what? I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
We had an interesting experience with a basher this week. Well, I don't know if he's really a basher, because he was open to baptism if we answered his questions. But we went in to meet this reference all happy and such, ready to get us a baptismal date, and left startled like sad kittens. It seems that we got attacked by a living anti-mormon webpage or something of the sorts. Complete with scriptures from Doctrine and Covenants. So as we left baffled, we upped our angst to study like crazy. I don't think we are actually going to answer his questions because I feel like it would be pointless and wouldn't help him develop his faith. But our friend taught us that it sure feels good to know that you have the answers, even if you don't share all of them. So now we're studying about polygamy, baptisms for the dead, and seeing God. We'll be back next week with more knowledge and stronger testimonies, I imagine.
We are praying that we have a baptism with a sweet brother and sister this week! And we're also very much looking forward to General Conference this weekend. Still have to watch it in Spanish, which is kind of a bummer, but we're excited nonetheless!
Love you bunches.
