I've always held a special place in my heart General Conference addresses on missionary work. During the October 2012 General Conference, a historic change was made to the Church missionary program. I was moved to tears as I heard the announcement of the age change for Sisters and Elders that desired to serve full-time missions. At the time I was in a serious relationship, so I was unsure of how the change would effect me. At the closure of that chapter in my life I was thrilled to begin working on my mission papers. I started and finished my interviews, medical and dental appointments, and paper work within a matter of 3 weeks.
I received my mission call on February 1, 2013. I will be serving a full-time mission from June 19, 2013 to December 2014.
I have been called to serve the humble people of the Peru Lima North Mission.
"Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth may rejoice together." John 4:35-36
I know in my heart that I have been blessed to live in a time in which great opportunities are available to me if I will embrace them. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life, and I can testify of its fullness. I know that the Lord has graciously presented me with the opportunity to serve Him for a short time in the mission field that I might follow His perfect example. I want nothing more than to share the goodness and blessings that come with living the principles laid out in this great gospel.
