What a crazy week we've had here in Canto Rey! We've been running around a lot, but we think we're seeing some success around here. Oh how we enjoy the fruits of our labors!
On Tuesday we had interviews with President Erickson and clean checks with Hermana Erickson. My first few interviews I was scared of President, just because it's sounds intimidating to have an interview with someone of authority. But I found that it was a really good experience this time around!
I was able to talk a little more confidently and openly about how I'm doing here in the mish, he was able to give me some advice that I was able to take more to heart. We talked about teaching less actives the importance of forgiveness, having patience with the "spiritual adolescents" that we all are, and the fact that having a veil over our minds allows our spirits to progress at an exponential rate. Interesting, no? He knows a lot, and it's pretty cool to talk to him. He explained that he's pleased in the progress I'm making.
We have been able to make quite a bit of progress with several of our investigators this week. We had several baptismal interviews, took three of our investigators to the baptism of the other sisters in our ward, and five of them managed to make it to church this week! Talk about miracles. We even had an inactive family of 5 that we've been teaching come to church. It felt so dang good. If everything goes well this week we will be having 2 baptisms this coming Saturday, and 2 more on the 17th. Keep them all in your prayers!
Long story short we're really tired and pretty darn happy. I'm learning how to be patient with the things we can't control, because in the end everything turns out just how it should. I'm getting along pretty well with my companion. We enjoy lots of goodies and laugh a lot. I can't believe that May is already here. (Here comes winter... ah!) The downhill definitely flies by faster than the first 9 month climb!
Love you all. Until we write again!
